Teacher Assurance

This is for the documentation of the Teacher Assurance process. For prerequisites see the Assured Teacher page on our website.

Process

Time required: 15 to 30 minutes

  1. Before the peer review:
  2. The system will show eligible teachers to Admins
  3. An Admin checks which teacher got assured last and connects the last assured teacher with the to be assured teacher
  4. Assured teacher and the to be assured teacher connect and set a date for the peer review
  5. During the peer review:
    1. The assured teacher checks the to be assured teachers profile
    2. Checks if their is currently at least one event / course in our Course & Events list
    3. Checks the details of the PDC: When, where, main teacher
    4. Checks the details of the PTT (TPT or TOT or equivalent): When, where, teachers
    5. Checks the details of the Diploma: When, where, tutor or equivalent, how many designs
    6. Once the to be assured teacher has answered all questions the process is reversed - now the to be assured teacher steps through steps from 5.1 and reviews the assured teacher
    7. The session is concluded when both teachers have assured each other.
  6. After the peer review:
    1. The original assured teacher sends the details of the peer review to the admin who contacted them and reports back:
      1. If PDC, PTT (TPT or TOT or equivalent), and Diploma info is correct or not.
      2. The day the peer review happend.
      3. Admin grants "Assured Teacher" badge
  7. The process starts from 1. again
