Agenda

PermaTalks

15 tickets sold = 15 × 30 = 450,- €. That covers the costs for the EuPN main website hosting + maintenance and the permateachers.eu hosting and maintenance.

Barbara Scheltus and Dominik are working on a design for the PermaTalks 2027 promotion. We are using Looby’s Design Web and its anchor points. Let me know if you want to be part of it.

→ Feedback about diversity: Suggestion to add a volunteer to search for people.

→ Price per session - price for whole session → Review the wording. Also season pass is pretty conclusive - suggestions to read it many times.

→ Open Collective → where is the money from the PermaTalks? PermaTalks were pre OpenCollective and PermaTalks are run by Vihreä Pourusmäki and EuPN. → Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) - Income sharing between Vihreä Pourusmäki & EuPN.

→ Suggestions to add costs for transparent money flow into the design.

Di.Day

Feedback. The Di.Day guys wrote back that they no require translation support. Arrange for contact.

Onboarding

Input required. In order to be able to distinguish members that are contributing to the development of the EuPN - and not just using its digital service platform - I suggest an onboarding process.

The process involves a call in which we step through:

Purpose, Vision, Values, Code-of-Conduct, Forum, Cloud, and the website.

It should take roughly 30 minutes + Q&A.

Onboarding gets tracked at our website and when a violation happens, for example code-of-conduct breach, than onboarding can be revoked.

→ Training for onboarders suggested

Assured Teacher

The process has been upgrade and documented and the next to be assured person is in the queue. The Assured Teacher have a call scheduled.

→ Aimee is working at the Colab on a way for accepting diplomas from outside the EU.

Tutors

Tom Henfrey suggested to have a tutors group within the EuPN. We have 24 tutors in the list. Invitations have been sent. There is a poll for a possible first meeting date.

General costs

The EuPN has hosting and maintenance costs. Those costs are virtual numbers as Chase & Snow - the company Dominik represents - is covering the costs. The numbers are competitive if you would need to host those sites somewhere else.

WhatCosts
permteachers.eu150,-
fluffy.permaculture-network.eu150,-
community.permaculture-network.eu150,-
docu.permaculture-network.eu50,-
permaculture-network.eu300,-
Total800,-

The two main websites come with custom modules (plugins) that were coded especially for the EuPN and are of no use for other clients. Those modules have their own maintenance costs, because they need to be adapted if the core system gets a major system upgraded.

Custom modulesAmount
community.permaculture-network.eu2
permaculture-network.eu15

Depending on the complexity of those modules the average time required per module is about 10 hours.

10 × 17 × 65,- € = 11050,- €. + tax

Since Chase & Snow is covering for the hosting & the time for development, my company Chase & Snow is listed as partner. That’s “carved in stone” until we are able to actually pay me and other developers.

→ Suggested Memorandum of understanding with invoice. Aimee sends template.

→ Contract between EuPN & Chase & Snow (alredy exists). Suggestion that content is able to be able to transferred (Content belongs to the members who created it). Contingency - Professional contingency at Vihreä Pourusmäki and Chase & Snow already exists.

EuPN Gathering

Feedback from Rory - response from COCONAT, just need estimate of numbers before I discuss the costs with. her: 50 people/100/200/…………..?

→ Suggestion to Rory to ask for the difference in price between 50 and 100 people. Ask for option

Open Collective Admin

→ Suggestion to have more than one admin on the Open Collective.

PDC

Idea: PDC material to be created for the use by everyone. Slides that can be used by everyone. Material is licensed under Open Source license.

→ Spin-off conversation between between Karen, Aimee, Rory.

Next meeting topics

→ Discussion about the entry point at /user/register. Low level entry vs permaculture professionals.
